“Doing a pre-apprenticeship helped me a fair bit. It meant I didn’t rock up to the work site not knowing how to use a power saw. I always had a bit of knowledge behind me, which is a good thing.”
At school in Albany, Ben preferred woodwork and hands on classes more than homework. That’s why it was no surprise Ben chose to do a pre-apprenticeship to get a head start on a carpentry and joinery apprenticeship.
