“I think the old view of having to go to university to be successful is starting to die out. Apprenticeships and traineeships are a really good way to go. They offer a really good career path, no matter what trade you choose.”
Dale decided to leave school at end of Year 10 to start an apprenticeship in automotive technology. The decision has been a great success. Dale was world champion in the automotive technology category at WorldSkills 2007 in Japan, where he also picked up the Best of the nation award.
