"I love my job. I've managed to do a lot of different things through work, like travel and competitions. It hasn't just been a job - it's a lifestyle."

Leon left school at a young age. After working in an abattoir, Leon decided to develop his new found skills and began a meat processing apprenticeship.

Competing at the national WorldSkills competition in Melbourne was the highlight of his apprenticeship. Now fully qualified, Leon couldn't be happier. He manages one of the largest meat wholesalers in Perth.
