“I never missed a day of TAFE. You learned something new every day. It also built my confidence up around other people.”
Ashley completed an Aboriginal school based traineeship before being offered a chef apprenticeship. Now he works in one of Perth’s leading hotels and is a role model for Indigenous youth. According to Ashley, the best thing about doing an apprenticeship is learning new skills and getting to meet new people. He now has aspirations to work and travel around the world.
