“It’s just a fantastic opportunity. Why stop and wait to do something when you finish high school when you can do it straight away, then and there. Everything I learnt as a cadet helped me become a police officer now.”

Fresh out of high school, Alison started a cadet traineeship with the WA Police Service. During her traineeship Alison completed Certificate III in Business Studies, which was all fully paid for by the service. Now, at just 19 years of age, Alison has competed her cadet training and has graduated as a police officer.
