Welcome to Training Resource Allocation

The Training Resource Allocation Directorate falls under the banner of the Planning and Resources Division at the Department of Training and Workforce Development.

The Planning and Resources Division is responsible for the strategic planning of training delivery for the VET sector to ensure that publicly funded training delivery is coordinated to match industry and student need.

Specifically, the Training Resource Allocation Directorate is responsible for:

• the funding of TAFEWA Colleges and private Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to deliver this training; and
• ensuring that requirements associated with the Commonwealth VET funding agreement are achieved.

Two separate work areas operate within the Training Resource Allocation Directorate:

Training Markets has responsibility for the administration of funding programs for the delivery of training services.

Strategic Funding has responsibility for the administration of all things TAFEWA.
