Full-time studies

The traditional employment system is changing rapidly so it is important to continually upgrade your skills to be successful in gaining and remaining in employment. But before you start studying, you need to have some idea of your goals.

For example, are you looking for a starter qualification to get you back into a ‘studying’ frame of mind? Or do you have a particular job or occupation in mind and, if so, what skills and knowledge will you need? You also need to consider how much time you can allocate to your study and how study will best fit your lifestyle.

There are many ways you can get information to ensure you make the right choice. The Career Centre can be a great place to start. You can also discuss your options with information officers at your nearest TAFE college. There are more than 50 TAFE campuses throughout Western Australia. Workforce Development Centres, located across the state, offer career advice for people of all ages.

Private training providers also offer many different training options with courses in a wide range of industries. These qualifications are nationally registered and recognised and allow students the option of being able to transfer between training organisations if required.

You can search for full-time training courses with TAFE colleges and private training providers here.
