Career Development 

Career development is defined as “… the process of managing life, learning and work over the lifespan”.

Career Development Services

Is the Branch within the Department of Training and Workforce Development that promotes the importance of lifelong career planning at every stage of a person’s life.

Well organised careers services for people of all ages have been recognised throughout the world as playing an important part in the career success of individuals and the successful operation of education and training systems. This in turn leads to more effective use of Western Australian’s talents and skills and to increased economic competitiveness and growth.

The Career Development Services Branch funds and promotes a range of services and initiatives in Western Australia both in the community and in schools.
